We are setting up Iftar tables in Africa during Ramadan.
Ramadan is a special time when sharing, solidarity, and brotherhood are felt most strongly. However, in many parts of Africa, millions of people are experiencing this blessed month facing serious difficulties in accessing basic food.
The Africa Platform is a humanitarian aid platform that operates with the aim of transforming the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan into real iftar meals in Africa, and it has adopted the principles of trust and transparency. Our goal is to provide support to communities in need through planned, sustainable, and localized organizations.
Ramadan in Africa: From Need to Solidarity
Many families on the African continent struggle to access regular and sufficient food during Ramadan. Iftar meals, especially for children and the elderly, are often prepared with very limited resources.
As the Africa Platform, during the month of Ramadan:
We organize mass iftar (breaking of the fast) events.
We conduct special iftar programs for orphaned and needy children.
We plan food support events for families.
We provide services on the ground with menus tailored to local needs.
Each event is conducted in coordination with local teams, taking regional conditions into account.
Organization Process and Implementation
Iftar tables set up in Africa:
Are prepared in accordance with local culture and eating habits.
Are cooked with attention to hygiene and health conditions.
Are organized in areas suitable for the participation of women, men, and children.
Menus generally consist of basic and nutritious products: rice, hot meals, soup, bread, and drinks are preferred to meet daily needs.
Our aim is not just to provide a meal; it is to transform the spirit of sharing in Ramadan into social solidarity.
